I am passionate about health, the human body, and the remarkable ability of the body to adapt and heal itself. I have always been fascinated by the connections between the different systems of the body and how they work together.
Helping people has always come naturally to me. I have always had a strong desire to support the people around me and help them feel better. I grew up in a family of chiropractors, so I was immersed in the world of natural health and chiropractic care from an early age.
In 2014, I became a chiropractor and began practicing at my family’s chiropractic clinic in Gatineau. After six years, I felt ready for a new challenge. In May 2020, I left the family practice and moved to a clinic in the Québec City area, where I had the opportunity to immerse myself in Professional Applied Kinesiology (PAK).
This experience opened the door to a new way of looking at health and the human body. Professional Applied Kinesiology is a functional approach that uses manual muscle testing, among other clinical tools, to gather information about neuromuscular function and the relationships between different components of the body.
That is where the spark really came alive for me.
In 2023, I became a Diplomate in Professional Applied Kinesiology, further developing my expertise in this approach. I am also continuing my education in functional neurology so I can keep expanding my clinical knowledge and skills.
Today, I am proud to be back in Gatineau and the Outaouais, where I can combine my chiropractic experience with my expertise in Professional Applied Kinesiology to provide a comprehensive, individualized approach to care.
If you are dealing with a persistent or recurring problem and feel like you have tried everything without finding a lasting solution, a more comprehensive clinical assessment may be worth considering.
My approach focuses on looking beyond the area where you feel your symptoms and considering the different factors that may contribute to your condition.
My goal is simple: to help you better understand your body and find a personalized path forward.
Discover what Professional Applied Kinesiology (PAK) is, how it is integrated into chiropractic care, and what you can expect during an assessment.
Dr. Clara Poelman, your Gatineau chiropractor, will be happy to get back to you as soon as possible.
With a personalized approach to chiropractic care, my goal is to identify the factors that may be contributing to imbalances in the body and provide you with the tools to support your body’s ability to function at its best.
I believe in empowering patients through education and healthy lifestyle habits that can help support their overall well-being over time.
My goal is to give each person the knowledge and tools they need to take an active role in their health and become more informed and empowered in their overall well-being.
